Burrawang Grant

WHAT IS THE BURRAWANG GRANT?

The Burrawang Grant has been established to assist local individuals or organisations meet specific funding needs. A certain percentage of funds raised by the stall fees has been put aside to assist the broader Burrawang community in recognition of the whole community effort that goes into holding the markets.

WHAT SORT OF THINGS WILL THE GRANT SUPPORT?

The grant will consider all requests until the funds are dispensed. This could be everything from the junior hockey club needing a new goalie kit to a local student needing some support to travel to take part in a sporting or cultural event for which they have been chosen. The only stipulation is that grant applicants must be local to Burrawang and Wildes Meadow.

HOW MUCH CAN I ASK FOR?

Ideally the funds will be dispersed to several recipients in the year, so it is probably best to request support in the hundreds of dollars rather than thousands. Please note, the committee may not be able to fully fund your request but may choose to partially support your request.

WHO MAKES THE DECISIONS ON FUNDING?

The Burrawang Easter Market Association (BEMA) committee will assess all applications and decide on funding as required.

WHEN DO I NEED TO APPLY BY?

There are no specific funding rounds. The BEMA committee will assess any applications at their next scheduled general meeting. The committee is committed to granting the full amount set aside so it is advisable to submit applications as early as possible.
